SEFAR® Architecture Launches New Comprehensive AIA CES Course

Explores Innovations Changing the Face and Function of Fabric Architecture

Publish Date: Monday, February 27, 2012

DEPEW, NY… SEFAR® Architecture, a leading manufacturer of precision fabrics and fabric systems for interior and exterior architectural applications, has created a brand new AIA continuing education course, “Three Innovations Changing the Face and Function of Fabric Architecture.”

“This course provides an overview of three new advancements in fabric architecture with real-world examples,” says Peter Katcha, Director, North American Sales for SEFAR Architecture. “Our intention was to provide viewers with a clear understanding about the design possibilities and functional benefits provided by each fabric innovation.”

“Three Innovations Changing the Face and Function of Fabric Architecture” is presented in HD format and explores innovative architectural products from SEFAR Architecture, each made from precision woven architectural fabric, including:

·      SEFAR Architecture TENARA® Fabric – a high-performing exterior fabric roofing membrane that allows for entirely new forms and functionalities in permanent static or kinetic fabric constructions

·      SEFAR Architecture LIGHTFRAME® – a new fabric ceiling system made from photometrically and acoustically optimized precision fabric

·      SEFAR Architecture Vision – a new metal coated fabric interlayer used within laminated glass for dramatic decorative interior and exterior façade applications

Accredited by the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES), successful completion of the course earns one hour toward learning unit requirements, including the health, safety and welfare(HSW) and sustainable design credit categories.

SEFAR Architecture’s course can be accessed at The Continuing Architect. The course is available online in streaming video and can also be downloaded as a PDF file for offline learning. Additionally, the course is available as a podcast, and can be viewed on mobile devices, including the iPad.
